Hello everyone,

My name is Jason Focarino, and I am the new ALT here at Yoshida High School. It took a long time to get to Japan, but I am very excited and happy to finally be with you.

In America I was an English teacher for Elementary School students, so I am excited to now be working with High School students. I think language is very important, and by learning different languages we can have many new experiences in life.

I came to Japan because I wanted to experience a new culture, and to learn a different way of life. I think that learning about each others ways of life is important because it helps to break down barriers and make it easier to understand one another. When trying to communicate, we might make mistakes, and that is okay. In life, we learn from our mistakes, and we are better people afterward.

I cant wait to learn more about all of you, so please feel comfortable saying Hello to me and starting a conversation. I am very interested in getting to know all of you. If you see me in the hallway, you can say Good Morning, Hello, or Have a Nice Day. I am excited to join you in your classes, with your amazing teachers. Thank you so much for welcoming me to Yoshida High School. Lets have an amazing rest of the year!
